Three habits that make it actually work.
Write the goal first.
One sentence on what should be true when the meeting ends. If you cannot write it, the meeting might be an email.
Keep decisions apart from discussion.
Discussion is context. Decisions are what people will look for next week, so give them their own section.
One owner and one date per action item.
An action item without an owner is a wish. Send the notes within the hour, while everyone still remembers.
Let Dutify Hub write it for you
- Record and summarize. Record meetings with the desktop app, or capture in-person conversations on Android. Summaries, decisions and action items land in one place.
- File the follow-ups. Send action items straight into Jira, ClickUp or Airtable.
- Ask AI Coworker. In Slack or Microsoft Teams, ask in plain language to send the recap, update the task or schedule the follow-up.

Questions
What should a meeting notes template include?
At minimum: the meeting goal, attendees, agenda, key discussion points, decisions, and action items with an owner and a due date. A parking lot for off-topic items keeps the meeting on track.
How do I write good action items?
Start with a verb, name one owner, and set a due date. “Send pricing draft to Sam by Friday” works; “look into pricing” does not.
Can Dutify Hub fill this in automatically?
Yes. Dutify Hub records the meeting and gives you the summary, decisions and action items, the same sections as this template, and can file the action items into Jira, ClickUp or Airtable.
